Overview
As an Electrical, Control and Instrumentation (EC&I) Engineer, you'll be at the heart of supporting EDF's nuclear operations, ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of fuel route works. This is a hands-on, high-impact role where your technical expertise will directly contribute to the UK's energy security and sustainability.
Responsibilities
* Apply high standards to fuel route work preparation and execution
* Provide technical fault finding, reporting and operational oversight
* Advise stakeholders including Senior Leadership, Operations and Engineering teams
* Prepare and execute fuel route work in line with safety policies
* Ensure compliance with site licence requirements and statutory regulations
* This is a full-time, onsite role based at Heysham 2 Power Station, near Morecambe, Lancashire, working 37 hours per week.
* Working with industrial control systems (PLCs, SCADA, HMIs, drives, analogue systems)
* Delivering engineered solutions using electrical control equipment and instrumentation
* Fault finding and resolving engineering issues in a safe and effective manner
* Experience in nuclear or other regulated industries (e.g. petrochemical, pharmaceutical)
* Understanding of legislation, ACOP, Safe Systems of Work and industry standards
Qualifications
* Engineering degree in a relevant discipline (preferred)
