Looking for a long‑term Teaching Assistant role in a local primary school?

The Supply Register is working in partnership with the Lincoln Anglican Academy Trust to recruit an experienced Primary Teaching Assistant / Learning Support Assistant for a welcoming primary school based in Grantham.

This is a full‑time, temporary role supporting pupils across EYFS and KS1, ideal for someone who enjoys being actively involved in the classroom and making a real difference to children’s learning and wellbeing.

About the Role

As a Primary Teaching Assistant / Learning Support Assistant, you’ll support pupils throughout the school day, working closely with the class teacher to help deliver engaging lessons and provide targeted support where needed.

You’ll play a key role in creating a positive, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment, ensuring pupils feel confident, supported, and ready to learn.

Key Responsibilities

Support teaching and learning across the primary curriculum
Deliver small‑group interventions and 1:1 support when required
Assist the class teacher with day‑to‑day classroom activities
Help create a calm, positive, and inclusive classroom environment
Build strong, supportive relationships with pupils and school staff
Encourage pupils’ independence, social development, and emotional wellbeing

This Role Is Suitable For

Experienced Teaching Assistants or Learning Support Assistants
Support staff with Level 2 or Level 3 qualifications (desirable but not essential)
Individuals with prior experience working in UK primary schools
