Job Description
This is a night's role, and hours will be discussed at interview.
Work schedule: 5 from 7 days a week, 45 hours per week.
Shift pattern and start times are flexible.
You will be responsible for:
1. Training the permanent Warehouse Trainers to deliver warehouse inductions, safety, and compliance training, as well as conducting inductions, SSOW, and MHE training (LLOP, Ride-on, and FLT) for new starters during the ramp-up period.
2. Observing, providing feedback, and coaching trainers new to Sysco.
3. Training managers new to Sysco in Pristine best practices.
4. Signing off new starters as competent in SSOW & basic MHE before handing over to warehouse team managers for department process/system training.
5. Supporting site setup of the training record system, ensuring training is recorded, and establishing a system for tracking re-training requirements.
6. Collaborating with the central training team to sign off the Hemel training team as competent and transferring full responsibility for the warehouse training department.
7. Supporting recruitment activities such as interviews, site tours, and right-to-work checks.
8. Setting up PPE management processes, issuing, and controlling PPE, and training the permanent training team on these processes.
9. Issuing Sysco credentials.
10. Educating the permanent team about our colleague benefits and how to access them.
Experience, Skills, and Knowledge required:
* L3 AET qualification (Desirable)
* Experience delivering warehouse operative inductions and familiarity with the new Academy induction material (Essential)
* Pristine accreditation (POPs) - Level 2 (Essential), Level 3 (Desirable)
* Current accredited FLT trainer (Desirable), with a valid Reach truck license as a minimum requirement
* First Aid, Fire Marshall, and Mental Health First Aider trainer (Desirable)
* Strong coaching and mentoring skills and experience
* Flexibility to work across different shifts/days and commitment to the assignment duration (ideally 9 months, minimum 3 months)
* Ability to work independently
* Role-model behavior
* Comfortable with ambiguity and working efficiently
* Proactive in identifying problems and generating solutions
* Driving License
