An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Consultant in Adult Psychiatry to join our esteemed NHS client’s dynamic team in Northallerton, Yorkshire. This locum position is available for an immediate start on a short-term contract, offering competitive rates.
Key Responsibilities:
In this role, you will deliver high-quality psychiatric care to adult patients, conducting thorough assessments, developing individualised treatment plans, and providing therapeutic interventions. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care and support for patients. Your responsibilities will include managing complex cases, offering specialist advice, and contributing to the enhancement of mental health services. Additionally, you will engage with local and national networks to elevate the profile of our centre and ensure all therapeutic approaches are evidence-based and effective.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Medical degree (MD or equivalent)
* Full GMC registration with a license to practice
* Completion of Specialty Training (CCT) in Psychiatry
* Experience in Adult Psychiatry
* Section 12 MHA approval is desirable
* Strong understanding of evidence-based therapeutic approaches
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team
* Commitment to Continuing Professional Development (CPD)
