The Role
NHS Lanarkshire is seeking to appoint a Clinical Secretary - Trauma & Orthopaedics, based at University Hospital Hairmyres.
The Clinical Secretary will provide comprehensive administrative support to clinicians, facilitating effective and efficient service delivery in accordance with standard procedures.

Essential Skills and Qualifications
* SVQ level 2 or equivalent plus at least 2 years in healthcare administration or 3 years in secretarial work
* Knowledge of medical terminology
* Proven ability to work effectively in teams and adapt to change
* Strong communication skills with patients, clinicians, and colleagues
* Excellent organizational skills
* Proficiency with relevant IT systems
* Audio typing skills
Contract Details
Fixed Term or Secondment until 31 March 2026
Full-time (37 hours) or Part-time (33 hours). Salary for part-time is pro-rata.
Note: For part-time roles, salary is adjusted accordingly. Existing NHS staff applying for secondment must have prior approval from their manager.
Location and Working Pattern
The role is based in Trauma & Orthopaedics at University Hospital Hairmyres.
The working pattern is negotiable.
