Experienced SEN Teaching AssistantLocation: WakefieldContract Type: Permanent (Starting September)Hours: 37 hours per week – Term Time Only

Are you passionate about supporting young people with special educational needs? We’re looking for experienced and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to join a specialist secondary school in Wakefield that caters to students aged 11–19 with complex needs including autism, moderate to severe learning disabilities, speech and language difficulties, and behaviours that challenge.

Rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted (October 2023) across all categories - Quality of Education, Behaviour and Attitudes, Personal Development, and Leadership - the school is praised for its nurturing environment and strong safeguarding culture. What we're looking for?

* Level 2 or above qualification in Support Work for Teaching and Learning (desirable).
* GCSEs in Maths and English (Grade C/Level 2 or equivalent).
* Experience working with SEN in a professional or voluntary capacity.
* Understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
* Knowledge of ASD, SEMH, and other complex needs.
* A positive, adaptable, and pupil-centred approach.
