We are currently recruiting for a permanent Stores Person. This is a key role supporting the smooth running of the Stores function by ensuring that engineering stock, materials and spare parts are managed efficiently. The successful applicant will have responsibility for the stores and dispatch functions. Candidates must be able to demonstrate a competency through experience within an engineering environment and have knowledge of engineering components. Additionally, they will be highly organised, along with excellent communication and interpersonal skills and with the ability to communicate at all levels. The Stores Person will be a hardworking team player, open to change and will have a flexible and helpful approach to work. They must be a self-starter, and be able and willing to improve their working area with a view to increase efficiency. Duties will include: * Overseeing the Goods In/ out procedures, ensuring stock is stored correctly. * Picking and packing, loading/unloading goods onto transport vehicles using the forklift truck and other available lifting apparatus. * Ensuring all goods are inspected and any discrepancies or damaged goods are reported upon receipt * Handle material receipt, allocation and movement within the Company. * Preparing dispatch documentation Updating the MRP systems, ensuring deliveries are packed accurately and on time. * Liaising with other internal departments including purchasing, production and sales. * Ensuring all H&S procedures are followed and any relevant training is undertaken.
