Purpose:
Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager you will monitor the production quality & productivity on an ongoing basis whilst also implementing improvement ideas. Audit existing processes and make recommendations to management on improvements.
Main Duties:
1. Develop team members including conducting meetings and briefings.
2. Ensure quality and productivity levels are met.
3. Assist and develop production with the implementation of their improvement plans i.e. reject reduction, machine utilisation,cycle times ,Raw material utilisation, tooling problems, improved automation, etc.
4. Actively facilitate kaizen continuous improvement practices within the area of responsibility.
5. Help the section leaders monitor & manage waste
6. Practice and promote and improve 5s within the designated area.
7. Ensure shop floor discipline is maintained.
8. Liaise Primary / Secondary Processes.
