Job: Radiographer
Hours: Monday-Sunday, 36 hours a week, 3x12hr shifts.
Location: Oxford.
InHealth sees more than 5 million patients each year and diagnostic imaging is one of the busiest services that we provide. Following the Michael Richards report, in which it was highlighted that diagnostic services should be delivered taking a new approach to provide more accessibility to people in the community away from acute settings, we are excited to partner with the NHS to develop new Community Diagnostic Centres and have recently opened a number of brand new CDCs across the UK.
Main duties of the job
Providing a great experience for patients attending MRI and CT, supporting them through the process from referral to results; running quality assurance checks on equipment and acting as appropriate; respecting and working within patients’ and service users’ customs, values and spiritual beliefs, making sure their views are sought and taken into account; performing triage functions of referrals, as required; supporting patient bookings and keeping patient information systems accurate and up‑to‑date; completing competency assessments; adhering to all operational procedures; maintaining a clean and safe working environment; sharing knowledge and clinical experience with the wider team to support each other’s growth and development.

* As a Radiographer you will be responsible for ensuring our patients receive the best standard of care while generating high-quality images to support their healthcare pathway. You will deliver an effective and professional service, working alongside your colleagues in a dynamic and fast‑paced environment.
What you are responsible for

* Performing triage functions of referrals, as required.
* Supporting patient bookings and keeping patient information systems accurate and up‑to‑date.
* Completing competency assessments.
* Adhering to all operational procedures.
* Maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
* Sharing knowledge and clinical experience with the wider team to support each other’s growth and development.
We are looking for someone who has
* Membership of an appropriate professional body and holds a valid registration (HCPC).
* A good understanding of fundamental MRI and CT physics and different scanning techniques and sequences.
* A proven knowledge of the requirements of a radiographer’s role regarding the care of patients, their careers and other colleagues.
* A high level of professionalism and technical standard of work.
* Aptitude towards improving quality.
* The ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.
* Understanding of the implications of the Data Protection Act, Caldicott Principles and GDPR.
* A flexible approach to work and the ability to work across 7 days (Mon‑Sun).
* A strong team player attitude, being supportive, caring, reliable and trustworthy.
* The ability to remain calm when working under pressure and in a busy environment.
* A positive attitude, taking pride in their work and being passionate about the service they provide.
* The passion for developing their career in radiography and working towards new milestones.
You should apply if you have experience
* Working with MRI/CT and X-ray equipment in either a hospital, community or mobile setting.
* Basic and routine MRI and/or CT examinations, with the ambition to learn more complex scans.
* Completed courses such as infection control training, manual handling, basic life support.
* Scanning with contrast, or a desire to develop this skill.
* Knowledge of health and safety policies and procedures with imaging equipment.
* Experience working in a multi-disciplinary team.
