What You’ll Do
As General Manager, you’ll be the driving force behind the success of the venue. You’ll:
Lead the Business
Oversee the overall performance, standards, and culture of the site
Set the tone for exceptional guest service and warm, community-focused hospitality
Build & Inspire the Team
Recruit, train, coach, and develop a high-performing team
Create a positive, motivational working environment where people can thrive
Deliver Guest Excellence
Ensure every guest leaves with a memorable experience
Handle queries and feedback with confidence, warmth, and professionalism
Drive Commercial Success
Own the P&L, budgets, forecasting, and cost control
Maximise revenue opportunities while maintaining quality
Monitor stock control, purchasing, and wastage reduction
Ensure Operational Compliance
Uphold all licensing, food safety, health & safety, and company standards
Maintain the venue to the highest operational and presentation standards
About You
We’re looking for someone who is more than just experienced – someone naturally warm, approachable, and passionate about people and great hospitality.
You’ll bring:
Previous experience as a General Manager within a food-led hospitality environment
Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire, challenge, and develop a team
A friendly, confident communication style and excellent interpersonal skills
High levels of organisation, resilience, and adaptability
A passion for great food, great drinks, and unforgettable guest experiences
Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as part of a rota
Personal License holder desirable but not essential
Location & Hours
Full-time, in-person role at our Ashby-de-la-Zouch establishment.
Evening and weekend shifts included on a rota basis.
