Want to work in a children’s home that makes a positive, lasting difference to children’s lives? This role is suitable for experienced Residential or Youth Workers, or for those with no experience who want to build a career in residential care.
We are looking for determined, caring and thoughtful people to be long-lasting, significant adults in a child’s life.
Responsibilities
* You will help facilitate children’s activities and appointments, supporting them in all aspects of their lives. You will ensure their health and wellbeing, safeguarding them at all times.
* You will meet a variety of children and young people, some of whom may require high levels of supervision and support.
* You will support the wider team with a range of domestic tasks such as cleaning, cooking, and food shopping.
* You will create timetables, manage paperwork and write reports.
What we are looking for
* Is 22 years of age or above (to meet Ofsted regulations).
* Is caring, compassionate and able to build positive relationships with others.
* Has a valid manual driving licence.
* Has the ability to remain calm in challenging situations.
Previous experience is not essential for this role. Our Skills to Care induction includes 2 separate weeks of classroom-based training and a week of shadow shifts to prepare for the new role.
