BCHA provide temporary accommodation in Exeter, and are looking for a Night Worker to join our small and supportive team.

Join our team as a Night Intensive Housing Officer and be a vital part of someone’s journey to stability and independence.
This is more than just a night shift—it’s a chance to provide meaningful support to individuals facing some of life’s toughest challenges. You’ll be working directly with customers in our Homelessness service, helping them feel secure, heard, and empowered.
✨ What You’ll Be Doing:
Be the first point of contact overnight, offering a calming and reassuring presence to Customers.
Create a safe and inclusive environment for customers..
Support customers with practical needs while encouraging self-management and independence.
De-escalate situations with empathy and professionalism, promoting safety for all.
Record accurate and timely notes to support joined-up working with the wider support team.
Work collaboratively with local services, signposting and referring where appropriate.
Respond with compassion to those in emotional distress or crisis.
Ensure confidentiality, uphold professional boundaries, and champion dignity at all times.
Promote community engagement, well-being activities, and life skills that support long-term progress.

20 - 30 hours a week (options for 2 or 3 nights a week)
Alternatively 4 on 4 off (37.5 hours)
Mon - Fri 22.00pm - 08.00am
Sat - Sun 20.00pm - 08.00am
£13.08 an hour
