Overview
This is a full-time, permanent Deputy Children's Home Manager role for a brand new home in Ilminster, Somerset. Salary: £35,178 - £37,310 per year. Location: Ilminster, Somerset. The role sits within a partnership between Homes2Inspire Limited, Somerset NHS Foundation Trust and Somerset County Council.
Responsibilities
* Deputise for the Registered Home Manager during absences and contribute to the day-to-day running of the Children’s Home.
* Ensure safeguarding of children and young people and provide high-quality care and support on a daily basis.
* Support the management of the home and complete office-based work as required.
* Work with the multidisciplinary team to promote best outcomes for children and young people.
What You’ll Bring
* Minimum 2 years' experience working with Children and Young People in a Residential setting
* Recent experience as a Children’s Home Deputy Manager or Senior Children's Residential Support Worker
* Minimum QCF Level 3 Residential Childcare or equivalent (in line with Ofsted requirements)
* Enthusiasm and commitment to completing QCF Level 5 Children, Young People and Families Manager qualification
* Flexibility to cover shifts in line with the needs of the home
* A full UK Driving Licence
* Willingness to contribute to shaping and developing the new Residential Children’s home service within Somerset
