Role: Family Paralegal

Hours: 9am – 5pm

Location: Chelmsford

Salary: £23,000 - £26,000

I am excited to be recruiting a Family Paralegal on the behalf of a well-established, successful Law Firm based in Chelmsford.

Duties

* Assist the Fee Earner with both private and legal aid family law cases.
* Draft correspondence to clients via letters and emails. Update clients on the status of their cases.
* Conduct research on relevant laws, precedents, and case details.
* Create court applications and legal aid applications.
* Meet with clients, understand their needs and take instructions.
* Liaise with 3rd parties, professionals and the other side.
* Attend hearings with the Solicitor.
* Draft witness statements, consent orders, form Es and briefs to counsel.
* Prepare court bundles.

Experience

* 1 years+ experience working as a Paralegal within Family law at a Law Firm
* Law degree completed heavily desired
* Ability to manage a fast paced and busy environment
