The Property Projects Lead Mission: As our Property Projects Lead, you'll be at the heart of keeping our stores thriving - driving everything from exciting new store openings and impactful refurbishments to smooth-running maintenance and facilities management. You'll inspire and empower your team, creating a collaborative space where they can grow, break boundaries, and truly flourish.
How you'll drive success:
Strategy & Leadership:
* Lead and develop our in-house Projects team, including project managers and assistants, fostering a collaborative and results-driven culture, whilst challenging the status quo.
* Set short, medium, and long-term goals. Ideally, have a strong network of reliable contractors and a successful track record within a multi-site, fast-paced business.
* Implement effective project management practices, risk assessments, and mitigation strategies.
* Work closely with design teams, project managers, and contractors to foster collaboration.
* Establish and manage relationships with vendors, architects, contractors, and partners, negotiating contracts, coordinating timelines, and overseeing quality control.
Projects:
* Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to high standards.
* Create robust processes for data management and commercial analysis.
* Ensure design and construction documentation is complete, accurate, and compliant, incorporating sustainable practices where appropriate.
* Lead end-to-end timelines for new stores, providing visibility and highlighting risks.
* Drive efficiencies in ways of working and production methods with external partners.
* Evaluate completed stores to ensure standards and customer expectations are met.
* Provide post-project feedback and improve processes.
* Visit sites during different project phases to ensure quality.
Reporting and Analysis:
* Develop and manage budgets for retail design and fit-out projects, ensuring cost-effectiveness and value engineering.
* Maintain up-to-date financial workbooks.
* Hold bi-weekly meetings with the finance team for updates and tracking.
Experience & Skills: Experience in a similar role, especially in the U.S. and E.U. markets, is a plus. You resonate with our mission and values, embody integrity, purpose, and authenticity. You have experience building and empowering teams through mentorship and continuous learning. Willing to travel extensively to get to know our sites. Confident negotiator with strong commercial acumen. Deep understanding of Maintenance Programmes and Facilities Management. Proven success in delivering impactful re-fits and refurbishments aligned with store experience.
