THE POSITION

We have an exciting opportunity for a recently qualified Tax Manager to join our company in a newly created role.

Reporting to the Head of Tax and Treasury, the Tax and Treasury Manager will contribute significantly to our financial operations. You will work alongside a talented team to deliver high-quality financial reporting and support ad-hoc projects.


Key Responsibilities:

* Compliance:
o Manage and review tax-related returns for all companies across the group.
o Prepare or review various returns and forms including but not limited to: DTTP2, PSA, CT61, CIR, Class 1A, VAT, VAT registration, corporation tax, Employment Related Security, etc.
o Manage tax compliance processes, ensuring timely and accurate filing of tax returns.
o Liaise with tax authorities, external tax advisors, and auditors on tax-related matters.
o Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess their impact on the company, ensuring proactive management of tax risks.
o Undertake complex tax calculations and research to support UK and non-UK tax queries and group tax compliance.
o Audit tax support including the preparation of group tax reconciliation, management of group company tax reconciliations, and resolving tax-related accounting queries.
o Undertake deferred tax calculations and deferred tax accounting.
* Projects:
o Identify and implement tax planning opportunities to optimize the companys tax position while ensuring compliance with all tax laws.
o Assist in developing and implementing transfer pricing policies and documentation where applicable.
o Serve as the transfer pricing (TP) subject matter expert, supporting other group companies on their TP needs.
o Work closely with finance, legal, and other departments to integrate tax considerations into business/project decisions.
o Drive continuous improvement in tax processes, documentation, and controls.
* Treasury:
o Manage online banking and related tasks such as account opening and service setup.
o Manage credit cards and associated portals.
o Review cash summaries.
o Manage inter-company loans, including ensuring legal support, drafting loan agreements, and maintaining compliance.


Candidate Experience/Profile

* Recently CA/ACA/ACCA/CIMA and CTA qualified with 1–2 years PQE.
* Proven experience across various taxes, focusing on planning and advisory services.
* Experience with deferred tax and familiarity with transfer pricing.
* A current manager with technical expertise and project management experience.
* Self-starter, comfortable working independently after research.
* Experience working with high-performing, ambitious teams.
* Excellent MS Office skills, especially Excel & PowerPoint.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to meet tight deadlines in a dynamic environment.
* Flexibility to accommodate colleagues’ working hours in different time zones and support business needs.
