We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our dynamic culinary team. Duties
* Assist with meal preparation and food preparation tasks as directed by the head chef or kitchen manager.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including washing dishes and sanitising surfaces.
* Support the cooking team by preparing ingredients, such as chopping vegetables and measuring out portions.
* Ensure compliance with food safety standards and regulations throughout all kitchen operations.
* Help in serving meals during busy periods, ensuring timely delivery to customers.
* Participate in inventory management by checking stock levels and reporting shortages to the chef.
* Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality service.
Skills
* Previous experience in a catering or restaurant environment is highly desirable.
* Basic cooking skills and knowledge of meal preparation techniques are beneficial.
* Familiarity with food safety practices and hygiene standards is essential.
