What is the Job?
The Hotel Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair operations of the hotel to ensure safety and functionality. This includes supervising maintenance staff where applicable and performing hands‑on maintenance tasks. The role requires a proactive approach to identify and address potential issues before they impact guests' experiences.

Location

Responsibilities
Responsible for managing all Hotel’s maintenance tasks.
Provide training, guidance, and performance feedback to maintenance teams where applicable.
Schedule work assignments, ensuring work orders on Quore are completed efficiently and effectively.
Participate in regular team meetings with GM and Estate Manager to discuss updates, issues, and improvements.
Perform daily routine maintenance requests.
Oversee and participate in the maintenance and repair of HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical systems, appliances, and structural components.
Ensure timely response to maintenance requests and guest complaints.
Responsible scheduled preventive maintenance program is completed in Quore.
Ensure follow up actions from PPM inspections are completed in a timely manner.
Maintain and present to Senior Management accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs.
Ensure compliance with local, state, and regulations, as well as hotel policies and procedures.
Conduct regular safety inspections and drills to ensure a safe working environment.
Address and resolve any safety hazards promptly.
Engage in sustainability initiatives within the hotel to align with our commitment to environmental responsibility. This will include entering data from invoices into Gaia 2.0 (Brand Platform).
Monitor and manage inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment.
Prepare and manage the maintenance department budget, ensuring cost‑effective operations.
Source and negotiate with suppliers for maintenance supplies and services.
Responsible for purchases and approval of invoices.
Coordinate with other departments to minimise disruptions during maintenance activities.
Communicate effectively with the General Manager and Andras House Estate Department regarding maintenance issues and project updates.
Work with others to ensure a positive working environment and promote teamwork within the maintenance department.
Qualifications
* 1 year’s experience of working in Maintenance in a hotel or similar setting
* Experience in carrying out complex maintenance tasks
* Understanding of local regulations, standards and ordinances on hotel operations and maintenance
* Good understanding of building services
* Extensive knowledge of health and safety standards
* High standards of Attention to Detail
* Good organisational skills
* Team player demonstrating excellent leadership skills
* Experience as Maintenance Supervisor / assistant Manager in a hotel or customer facing environment
