Assistant Finance Director – Chatham Based Secondary
We’re on the lookout for a sharp, qualified finance professional to join a dynamic secondary school in Chatham. This part-time role offers the chance to work closely with the CEO and Finance Director of a growing multi-academy trust. If you're CIMA or CCAB qualified and ready to make a meaningful impact in education finance, this could be your next big move.
Contract: Part time, starting ASAP
Salary: £119 - £138 per day
Qualifications:
* Fully qualified accountant (CIMA or CCAB)
* Strong understanding of financial strategy and reporting
* Experience in education or public sector finance (preferred)
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
* High attention to detail and analytical thinking
* Proficiency with financial systems and reporting tools
Key Responsibilities:
* Support the CEO and Finance Director with strategic financial planning
* Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting processes
* Ensure compliance with ESFA, DfE, and internal financial policies
* Collaborate with school business managers across the trust
* Assist with audit preparation and implementation of recommendations
* Drive improvements in financial systems and operational efficiency
