Finance Manager – Mergers & Acquisitions
Location: Kent
Salary: £70,000 – £90,000 per annum, depending on experience
Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and commercially-minded Corporate Finance Manager to lead key corporate finance and M&A initiatives, with a primary focus on investment strategy, acquisitions, and business integration. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in evaluating strategic opportunities, shaping financial outcomes, and supporting decision-making at the highest level.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee financial evaluation and due diligence for acquisitions, partnerships, and other strategic transactions.
* Design and manage detailed financial models to assess performance, forecast returns, and evaluate business cases.
* Provide valuation analysis using multiple methodologies including DCF, comparables, and precedent transactions.
* Support the assessment of market trends and potential investment opportunities through rigorous research.
* Coordinate transaction processes, working closely with internal departments and external advisers.
* Collaborate with legal, tax, and compliance teams to ensure efficient and compliant deal structuring.
* Prepare internal reports and investment materials for senior executives and board-level presentations.
* Monitor the performance of acquired entities or projects, including ROI and synergy tracking.
* Act as a key point of contact for financial institutions, stakeholders, and external funders.
Key Skills & Experience:
* Demonstrable experience in a finance or corporate development role with exposure to mergers, acquisitions, or strategic investments.
* Expertise in financial modelling, forecasting, and valuation.
* Strong command of financial statements and accounting fundamentals.
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously.
* Confident communicator with experience presenting to stakeholders at all levels.
* Highly analytical with strong commercial instincts.
* Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment with high attention to detail.
