We have a very exciting opportunity for an experienced and proactive Business Administrator to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis at our newest luxury care home.
Nestled in the heart of Borehamwood, Meadowhill Care Home combines modern design with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Boasting private rooms and luxurious communal spaces, Meadowhill is tailored to meet the unique needs of residents in a safe and peaceful environment.
The Business Administrator will be responsible for managing the administration function of the care home, ensuring a smooth and effective service at all times. The role will have a strong focus on HR and Finance, therefore experience in these areas is essential to be considered.
The ideal candidate should have strong communication and IT skills, have excellent attention to detail, be highly organised, flexible and have a positive, can-do attitude. Experience of working in a care home is preferable, however not essential.

About the role:
HR:
9. Manage all aspects of HR administration for the home including; leading on recruitment, holding interviews, conducting pre-employment checks, drafting employment contracts and monitoring training compliance levels
10. Support Line Managers across the employee life cycle including appraisals, performance management, absence management etc
11. Work very closely with the Home Manager to improve employee engagement, resolve HR issues in the home and ensure all staff feel well supported at all times
12. Lead in organising and supporting investigation meetings, disciplinary and grievance hearings. This includes in relation to sickness absence management
13. Drive a positive and engaged culture across the home, ensuring our staff are well recognised for their achievements
14. Ensure all staff are up to date with mandatory training
15. Ensure the Company HR policies and Employee Handbook requirements are known to staff members and are implemented in the care home. Report required policy changes to the central HR team
16. Maintain an effective and efficient filing system for all home-related paperwork ensuring there is a consistent audit trail
17. Provide general administrative support and follow company processes to ensure the smooth running of the care home
Finance:
18. Support with all aspects of Finance, such as processing invoices, preparing reports and banking
19. General Finance administration and organisation, such as ordering items for the care home and updating resident funding
20. Maintain Finance excel trackers and work closely with the central Finance team
21. Process resident admissions and discharges
22. Other duties such as archiving, filing, meeting with relatives, managing resident TV licences and managing petty cash
About you:
23. Previous experience in HR and/or Finance administration is essential to be considered
24. Experience of working in a care home is preferable, however not essential
25. Strong IT skills and the ability to work competently with all Microsoft Office packages, including Outlook, Word and Excel
26. Excellent attention to detail and able to work in a fast-paced environment
27. Well organised with the ability to multi task
28. Good people skills with a strong people focus
