Bishops Vets in Hatfield, Hertfordshire, is seeking a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our supportive and friendly team. This is a part-time, 6-month fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave, starting in December 2025.
You'll work 16 hours per week, across two 8-hour shifts on Mondays and Tuesdays. Additionally, there is a share of our Saturday rota, approximately one in four weekends, from 9am to 12pm, with time off in lieu the following week.
Role Details
Your responsibilities include typical general practice duties such as theatre work, assisting with procedures, radiography, inpatient care, nurse consultations, dispensary, and light admin.
As a small, single-site practice, this role is ideal for someone who enjoys building relationships with clients, working closely with colleagues, and being involved in all areas of the practice. We value continuity of care and a healthy work-life balance.
Work Schedule
Our hours are from 8:30am to 7pm Monday to Friday and 9am to 12pm on Saturdays. Your shifts will be on Mondays and Tuesdays, with occasional weekend work (1 in 4) and time off in lieu after working on Saturdays.
About the Practice
Our practice is well-equipped with digital X-ray, ultrasound, dental X-ray, in-house blood testing, multiparameter monitor, Bair Hugger, separate cat and dog wards, and a dedicated nurse consulting room.
Hatfield offers excellent train links to London and easy access to the A1(M) and M25, making it a convenient location. We are committed to delivering thoughtful, tailored clinical care in a friendly environment.
