Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Painter & Decorator to join our team, specialising in both residential and commercial projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing surfaces, applying paints and finishes, and delivering high-quality decorating work. Responsibilities
* Preparing surfaces by cleaning, sanding, filling, and priming prior to painting or decorating
* Applying paints, varnishes, wallpapers, and other finishes with precision and care
* Ensuring all work meets safety standards and adheres to client specifications
* Managing time effectively to complete projects within designated deadlines
* Communicating effectively with clients and team members regarding project progress or issues
* Maintaining tools and equipment in good condition and reporting any repairs needed
* Assisting with colour selection and providing professional advice on decorating options
Experience
* Proven experience in construction painting or decorating is preferred
* Knowledge of different painting techniques and materials
* Valid driving licence is desirable to enable travel between multiple sites
* Fluency in English is essential for clear communication with clients and team members
* Strong communication skills are necessary for understanding project requirements and providing updates effectively
