The Role
As the Lead Market Data Developer, you will spearhead the development and management of a cutting-edge Data Management System (DMS) designed to ensure reliable, high-quality market data consumption and distribution. This position demands expertise in data engineering, leadership, and a deep understanding of market data systems.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage end-to-end market data development projects, including requirements gathering, solution design, and implementation of data parsing and distribution services.
* Develop and enhance ETL processes, ensuring standardized, self-documenting, and testable code.
* Lead a team of professionals in delivering high-quality market data solutions.
* Act as a subject matter expert for market data initiatives and provide second-line support for daily parsing and data processing operations.
* Collaborate with technical teams and external data providers to ensure seamless integration and data reliability.
Qualifications and Skills:
* Profound understanding of market data onboarding, processing, and distribution to end-users.
* Extensive experience in designing and implementing market data systems and automating business processes.
* Strong knowledge of ETL/ELT methodologies, data warehousing, and best practices, including end-of-day (EOD) and tick data processing.
* Familiarity with agile development tools and technologies.
* Proficiency in deployment and automation workflows, with containerization (Docker) and Databricks as a plus.
* Expertise in schema structures, design, and performance optimization.
