Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Treasury Manager to lead APCOA's treasury function across our European operations. This senior role will be responsible for developing, along with the Head of Tax & Treasury, and executing the group's treasury strategy, managing liquidity and day-to-day operations, capital structure, overseeing banking relationships, and ensuring optimal cash management across our diversified international structure. The position offers the opportunity to shape treasury operations within a dynamic, PE-backed organization undergoing significant transformation.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic Leadership
* Develop and implement comprehensive treasury strategy aligned with APCOA's business objectives and growth plans.
* Lead the treasury function across all European entities, ensuring consistent policies and procedures.
* Provide strategic financial advice to senior management on capital structure, funding, and liquidity matters.
* Support M&A activities and business expansion initiatives from a treasury perspective.
Cash & Liquidity Management
* Oversee group-wide cash positioning, forecasting, and liquidity management.
* Optimize cash pooling arrangements and intercompany funding structures.
* Ensure adequate liquidity facilities are in place to support business operations.
* Manage short-term investments and surplus cash deployment.
Banking & Capital Markets
* Maintain and develop strategic banking relationships across multiple jurisdictions.
* Lead debt refinancing activities and negotiate optimal terms with lenders.
* Oversee compliance with banking covenants and reporting requirements.
* Manage the group's capital structure and optimize cost of capital.
Risk Management
* Identify, assess, and manage treasury-related risks including FX, interest rate, and credit risks.
* Develop and implement appropriate hedging strategies.
* Ensure robust internal controls and compliance with treasury policies.
* Oversee treasury-related aspects of insurance programs.
Financial Reporting & Compliance
* Ensure accurate and timely treasury reporting to management, board, and external stakeholders.
* Manage relationships with auditors on treasury matters.
* Ensure compliance with local and international treasury regulations.
* Support consolidated financial reporting processes.
Team Leadership
* Build and lead a high-performing treasury team leveraging resources across countries.
* Develop team capabilities and provide mentoring and development opportunities.
* Collaborate effectively with Finance, Tax, Legal, and other key functions.
Qualifications
Essential
* Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or advanced qualification preferred.
* Minimum 5-8 years of progressive treasury experience, with at least 2-3 years in a senior leadership role.
* Proven experience in complex, multinational organizations.
* Strong background in debt management, banking relationships, and capital markets.
* Experience with private equity-backed companies and their reporting requirements.
* Demonstrable track record of leading treasury transformation and process improvement.
Desirable
* Professional treasury qualification (ACT, CTP, or equivalent).
* Experience in the mobility, transport, or infrastructure sectors.
* Knowledge of European regulatory environments and cross-border operations.
* Experience with treasury management systems and financial technology platforms.
* Previous experience managing teams across multiple countries.
