Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Warehouse Worker to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse by handling various tasks related to materials management, shipping and receiving, and maintaining inventory accuracy. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
* Handle materials with care, ensuring proper storage and organisation within the warehouse.
* Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move products and materials as needed.
* Utilise a Warehouse Management System (WMS) for tracking inventory levels and managing stock movements.
* Assist with shipping and receiving tasks, including verifying incoming shipments against purchase orders.
* Engage in picking and packing orders accurately to ensure timely dispatch.
* Maintain well-stocked shelves by performing regular stocking duties.
* Apply mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor equipment issues as they arise.
* Conduct quality control checks on products to ensure they meet company standards.
* Perform heavy lifting as required, adhering to safety protocols during all lifting tasks.
* Load and unload goods from lorries, ensuring safe handling practices are followed.
Qualifications
* Previous warehouse experience is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate.
* Familiarity with materials handling techniques and equipment is advantageous.
* Experience operating forklifts or other warehouse machinery is highly desirable.
* Knowledge of warehouse management systems is beneficial for efficient operations.
* Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality control.
* Ability to perform heavy lifting consistently throughout the shift.
* Excellent organisational skills with the capability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: £16,467.71-£22,479.69 per year
Expected hours: 15 – 20 per week
