Safely operating and driving Category C+E vehicles Conducting pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections Ensuring all cargo is loaded securely and safely Adhering to UK traffic laws and safety regulations Communicating effectively with dispatch and customers Maintaining accurate records of mileage, fuel usage, and delivery paperwork Reporting any defects or maintenance issues immediately Assisting with loading and unloading where required Essential Skills To be successful as an HGV Class 1 Driver, you will need:
A valid UK Category C+E licence Minimum of 12 months' Class 1 driving experience No more than six penalty points (no major endorsements) Valid CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card Ability to read and speak English to a safe working level Experience operating various trailer types Excellent punctuality and time-keeping skills Strong communication skills Flexibility to work overtime when required Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines Desirable Experience
Previous commercial vehicle driving experience is beneficial Training
