Assembly Mechanical Fitter
Location: West Yorkshire
Shift: Mon-Thurs (Lates) 14:15pm-12:30am
Salary: £38,387.00- £43,857.00 per annum
Due to continued growth, they are now looking to recruit an experienced Assembly Mechanical Fitter to join their production team.
As an Assembly Mechanical Fitter, your key duties will include:
Reading and working from technical engineering drawings
Assembling bespoke mechanical components and machine sections
Building and installing pneumatic and general pipework systems
Checking parts against bill of materials (BOMs) for accuracy and condition
Carrying out quality inspections to ensure assemblies meet required tolerances
Handling and moving large components using lifting equipment and overhead cranes
Ensuring all work is completed within production timescales
Following health & safety procedures and company processes at all times
The successful Assembly Mechanical Fitter will have the following attributes:
Completed a Level 3 Engineering Fitter Apprenticeship / NVQ (or equivalent)
Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar mechanical fitting role
Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
Experience working with large assemblies and tight tolerances
Confident using a wide range of hand and air tools
Understanding of health & safety and quality standards
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Good attention to detail and ability to meet production deadlines
Comfortable working at height and in confined spaces
MIG welding experience
