VACANCY for FULL TIME FRONT OF HOUSE ASSISTANT
based at Blackroot Bistro, Sutton Park

About Us: At Blackroot Bistro, we pride ourselves on providing exceptional service and a warm, welcoming atmosphere for our customers. We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Front of House Assistant/Barista to join our team and help us maintain our high standards.
Job Description: As a Front of House Assistant, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, ensuring they receive a friendly, efficient and professional service. Your responsibilities will include greeting customers, making great coffee and hot drinks, taking orders, serving food and drinks, clearing tables, washing up, till operation and maintaining a clean and safe environment.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate will:
* Preferably have previous experience in a similar role
* Be able to demonstrate initiative
* Confidently communicate with customers and colleagues
* Have the ability to work at a fast pace in a busy environment
* Be able to operate in a practical way
* Have a keen sense of spatial awareness while working in small back of house area
* Have a commitment to providing excellent customer service
* Possess a friendly, enthusiastic and positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
* Be a team player
* Be able to work under pressure while maintaining high standards

* Hours: [Full-time permanent role – maximum 45 hours per week in summer - an average of 36 hours per week]. Successful candidates must be available to work 5 shifts per week between 8am and 5pm – we are unable to offer fixed days off.
