Salary - £61,600 to £77,000 per year (dependent on experience), 15% Annual Bonus and Private Healthcare

Role
As Senior Project Manager, you will contribute to and work with the wider WL2 project management team and undertake the full range of project management responsibilities during the development of the Western Link 2 project, which is a first-of-its-kind HVDC project.
You will contribute to and work through the various requirements of the development process, including tendering, delivery, programme management, budget control and forecasting as well as contributing to the engineering solutions of the project.
What you’ll be doing
As a member of the WL2 project team, be able to work collaboratively in a matrix organisation across NGET and SPT to ensure that a high quality, technically compliant and innovative product is delivered, satisfying both NGET, SPT and the WL2 Project Board
Responsible for financial governance of multiple project tendering opportunities and contract awards, including budgeting and accurate forecasting
Perform an influencing role in continuous improvement in HSQE performance against agreed performance indicators.
Assist in the Contract and financial management of all assigned contracts.
Responsible for ensuring Development, Management and review of accurate overall and contract specific project programmes of work including multi staged projects and integrated programmes of work.
Managing direct and indirect resources to ensure achievement of key sustainability environmental, planning, procurement, design, construction, commissioning and completion milestones
Conduct, progress, co-ordination interface meetings with the project team, client and contractors.
Engage with all necessary internal and external stakeholders to promote effective communication and information sharing.
Responsible for Team/Project Compliance with applicable Quality Management Systems
Manage financial applications and invoicing from appointed contractors.
What you’ll bring
Thorough understanding of large scale construction duties and methodologies
Project risk review, management, reduction and control
Excellent communication skills
Contract management with experience of NEC4 and FIDIC terms and conditions a distinct advantage
Experience in leading project development to site delivery
Internal Financial control, forecasting and budgeting experience preferable
Understanding of and ability to implement quality assurance processes
Thorough understanding of Health, Safety and Environmental legislation applicable to construction projects and particularly CDM Regs. 2015
Knowledge of specification, design, maintenance, plant apparatus and control / protection equipment on transmission networks a distinct advantage.
Knowledge of construction and development works within a marine environment a distinct advantage.
Experience in supporting stakeholder and community management activities
Proven ability to lead and work in a team environment
Excellent negotiation skills
Minimum Criteria

Relevant / Transferable Engineering experience (advantageous)

Project Delivery exposure / understanding (essential)

Capable of managing multiple interfaces within a project

Experience of design development and delivery of projects.
