Software Engineer / Business Systems Engineer, Newbury

As part of this transformation, we are looking for a Business Applications Specialist to join our small, dynamic IT team. This role will be instrumental in developing and maintaining our business application ecosystem to maximize productivity. Working closely with the IT Manager and Director of IT & Data, you will implement smart technology solutions that enhance efficiency and innovation.

This role will involve configuring, implementing, integrating and maintaining the technologies end to end. It will involve collaborating with various stakeholders to understand their requirements and working practices and provide technical solutions to support ongoing projects and operations.
Roc’s Business Application platforms include some of the leading cloud platforms, e.g. Oracle Netsuite, ServiceNow, HubSpot, Azure Data Factory, Power Platform, BambooHR, Access Workspace, CultureAmp, DocuSign, Webexpenses, and several additional point cloud applications.
Responsibilities:
* System Integration & Automation – Connect and integrate core business applications (ERP, CRM, HR systems) using REST APIs, Celigo, n8n, iPaaS platforms, and scripting languages (Python, PowerShell).
* Application Management – Configure, maintain, and optimise business-critical platforms such as Oracle NetSuite, ServiceNow, HubSpot, and Azure Data Factory.
* Workflow Design & Optimization – Build automated workflows using tools like Power Automate, ServiceNow Flow, and NetSuite Workflow to streamline business processes and enhance efficiency.
* Technical Support & Troubleshooting – Provide expert IT support for application-related issues, conduct root cause analysis, and implement long-term solutions.
Knowledge, skills, and experience
* Experience in building system integrations, including REST/SOAP API integration tools
* Proficiency in JavaScript, Regex, and other relevant scripting language
* Strong understanding of process development
* Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
* Expertise in database design, management, and Microsoft SQL
* Familiarity with Integration Platforms (iPaaS)
Desirable Knowledge & Skills:
* Experience with NetSuite, ServiceNow, HubSpot, or Power Platform administration
