External examinations include GCSE, A level and vocational qualifications all of which must be conducted according to current JCQ and awarding body regulations.
The Exams Officer will work closely with teaching colleagues, school administration and pupils and will act as liaison between the school and exam boards and coordinate the work of a team of invigilators.
Workload varies considerably over the year, with a busy peak exam period in May and June. During non-peak periods there may be some flexibility on working hours and working from home.
The contract for this role is annualised hours, based on 4 days per week to give flexibility to work full-time hours in peak periods and part time at other times of the year. The role is term time plus 4 training days. The salary for this role is £34,000 – £38,000 per annum depending on experience.
