Organisation Bradfield College Salary £5,000 stipend towards travel and living expenses Location Berkshire, RG7 6AU Contract type Fixed Term (Full time) Closing date 9 February 2026 Job Description Bradfield College is offering an exciting placement opportunity for undergraduate and postgraduate students seeking meaningful, applied experience within a leading school-based athletic development and performance environment.
The placement will primarily involve shadowing and supporting the Strength and Conditioning, Physiotherapy and Sport Science team in the planning, delivery and monitoring of training sessions and performance support programmes. Students will gain valuable insight into long-term athlete development within a youth sport setting, while developing their understanding of physical preparation, injury prevention and rehabilitation support, load management and athlete monitoring. The role also provides exposure to the integration of strength and conditioning and sport science within a school sport programme.
Throughout the placement, students will experience interdisciplinary working through collaboration with sports coaches, medical staff and pastoral teams, contributing to the holistic development, wellbeing and performance of young athletes.
The placement is designed to support credit-bearing placement years or professional practice modules, where permitted by the student’s enrolled university and course regulations. Applications are welcomed from both students undertaking formal university placement years and those seeking applied experience independently; completion of university credit requirements is not a prerequisite for application.
The programme runs Monday to Saturday, from 8:30am to 6:00pm, offering an immersive and hands-on learning experience within a dynamic school sport setting.
