Role Overview
As a Care Assistant, you will support clients with daily living activities, provide companionship, and assist with health and wellbeing needs. You’ll play a vital role in helping individuals maintain independence while ensuring their comfort and dignity.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist clients with personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility
* Support care plans tailored to individual health and wellbeing needs
* Provide companionship and emotional support
* Assist with medication management under healthcare guidance
* Maintain accurate records of care provided and changes in client condition
* Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams
* Support with light domestic tasks such as meal preparation and cleaning
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
Required Skills and Experience
* Minimum 6 months’ experience in domiciliary or healthcare work
* Caring, reliable, and professional attitude
* Right to work in the UK
* Local to Derby and surrounding areas
* Strong communication skills in English
* Full UK Driver’s Licence and access to a vehicle
* Previous experience in home care or healthcare settings
* Familiarity with care plans and individualised support requirements
* Basic IT skills for record keeping
