Join to apply for the Phlebotomist role at University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust
We currently have vacancies for part-time phlebotomists to work alongside our existing team at the Royal Sussex County Hospital. You will provide valuable services throughout the hospital, taking blood samples from in-patients and out-patients.
Roles available: Substantive and Bank
Experience is preferred but not essential, as full training is provided. The successful candidate will be expected to undertake venepuncture on children and adults after training and assessment.
Applicants with declared phlebotomy experience will need to provide evidence if shortlisted for interview.
This role involves taking blood samples in wards and clinics, as well as reception/telephone duties as needed. Candidates may be required to cover other locations where the service is provided.
The department operates from 8:00 to 17:00. The role is 27.5 hours per week on a roster including weekend mornings.
