Overview
We are looking for an ambitious Junior Designer to join our growing team. The role will entail liaising with clients, preparing quotes, introducing clients to the products in the showroom, preparing design & production drawings and general day-to-day assistance. We are a small, growing company which means there can be great diversity in tasks; the successful candidate must be flexible and prepared to roll their sleeves up and get stuck in. * Experience with AutoCAD & Adobe InDesign or equivalent programmes?
What The Job Involves
* Working with the design team and clients to progress design projects
* Holding appointments with clients in the showroom and online to discuss their project, guiding them through our pathways and product range
* Generating production drawings
* Producing quotes and estimates
* Liaising with architects and builders on project delivery
* Managing and processing sample orders
* Research and design development, including looking for new materials, processes & finishes
As you gain experience in the role, there will be progression opportunities for the right candidate to more senior design roles within the organisation.

This position is full-time. Normal opening hours are 9am-6pm, Monday to Friday. Please note, the successful candidate will be expected to work some Saturday hours (one Saturday a month in exchange for TOIL or overtime pay). We are based at our design studio and showroom just off Broadway Market, Hackney.
Due to the client-facing nature of the role, we ask that the successful candidate works from the studio 5 days per week during the probation period and a minimum of 4 days per week thereafter.
