Hays are recruiting for an experienced Seniormissioning Officer to join the Adult Care and Support Directorate on an initial 6-month contract.
Role OverviewYou will be responsible formissioning a range of social care services, using themissioning cycle to review, plan, and design services. The role involves researching, engaging, planning, and deliveringmissioning projects within agreed parameters of quality, timescale, and budget, as well as managing a suite of designated contracts.
Key Responsibilities
1. Work as part of an operationalmissioning team to deliver strategies on time, ensuring quality, value for money, and customer satisfaction.
2. Engage service users in the design, monitoring, and review of services.
3. Promote independence and well-being through person-centred approaches to people, carers, and families.
4. Drive and support local needs analysis by gathering intelligence on service requirements and gaps.
5. Ensurepliance with legal requirements and national policy for adult social care.
6. Develop and apply best practice knowledge to redesign and specifymissioned services.
7. Understand service costs, value, and budget pressures, following Council Financial Regulations.
8. Supportmissioning managers in developing services to meet local needs.
9. Seek evidence-based, innovative solutions that maximise independence and choice.
Experience & Skills Required
10. Experience working in adult care services, health, or the voluntarymunity sector.
11. Strong knowledge of themissioning cycle and collaborativemissioning approaches.
12. Proven experience in contract management to deliver agreed oues.
13. Ability to analyse and interpretplex data sets and present findings clearly.
14. Skilled in writing and presenting high-level reports, using evidence bases and financial modelling to rmendmissioning options.
