Job Description:
Area Sales Manager - UK and North West Europe
* The ASM is responsible for sales growth and market expansion in the defined territory for all C&A brands and product categories.
* Ensures focus on driving the DSE CONTROL product group.
* Develops sales and regional distribution strategies where applicable.
* Coordinates marketing activities with distribution partners, building and executing plans to grow market share.
* Expands customer base and develops business with prospects and existing customers.
* Visits customers and prospects to develop relationships and increase profitable business.
* Acts as the voice of the customer within the Control & Automation (C&A) group and the face of the C&A group to customers.
* Promotes existing and new C&A products to customers.
* Coordinates with internal functions to ensure high service levels.
* Keeps abreast of competition developments and market conditions.
Key Responsibilities & Main Duties:
40% - Negotiates sales effectively, develops relationships, and focuses on DSE CONTROL product group.
30% - Expands customer and contact base, develops strategic relationships, and provides excellent customer support.
15% - Coordinates marketing activities, maximizes product margins, manages customer visits and quotes, and maintains opportunity pipeline.
15% - Presents and demonstrates products, maintains CRM data, addresses customer issues, monitors market trends, reports monthly, and attends exhibitions as needed.
* Experience in a technical product or service within a commercial role in the control electronics sector.
* Proven relationships with key decision-makers in the control electronics sector within the UK & Ireland.
* Strong technical and commercial selling and negotiation skills.
* Results-oriented team player with strong communication skills.
* Ability to work independently from a home office and travel internationally.
* Recognizes market trends and evaluates competitors.
* Full driving license.
* Experience in sales within a technically oriented company/product range, preferably in control electronics in the UK & Ireland.
* Proven demand generation success.
Qualifications:
* Previous experience in technical sales.
* Industry experience.
* Minimum 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) in Mathematics and English.
