Our Wealth and Personal Banking business supports millions of individuals, families, business owners, investors, and entrepreneurs worldwide. We provide products and services including current accounts, credit cards, personal loans, mortgages, savings, investments, insurance, and wealth management. We also have specialized relationship managers supporting customers with bespoke requirements, including high net worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients.
Mortgages are a vital part of HSBC's UK Retail Bank, offering a range of products to support customers from first-time buyers to home movers and Buy to Let investors, providing quality accommodation for renters. This role will focus on the Buy to Let offering, presenting an exciting opportunity to make a real difference by reviewing policies with a fresh perspective and assessing opportunities to enhance and evolve support for landlords offering rented high-quality accommodation in the Private Rental Sector, an important part of the UK housing market.

In this role you will:
1. Lead and develop Secured Buy to Let credit policy, ensuring compliance with regulation and internal policy, understanding the market and customer needs, and driving good customer outcomes.
2. Prioritize planned projects and tasks, effectively managing and challenging requests for unplanned or ad-hoc work.
3. Be accountable for the integrity and accuracy of delivered results.
4. Contribute positively to the vision and strategy of the department, working with management and being a role model for junior colleagues.
5. Develop and maintain a productive relationship with the offshore analytics team.
To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:
* Proven credit experience in buy to let lending within a portfolio management, strategy, or policy role.
* Knowledge and experience of the buy to let market.
* Experience working in an analytical, strategy, or policy role within financial services or a data-driven organization.
* Excellent knowledge of the credit life cycle.
* Experience in credit risk policy, strategy, operations, and related procedures.
* Track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget, managing your own time effectively.
This role is based in Birmingham, Sheffield, or Leeds.
