We are seeking a skilled Leisure Club Supervisor to join our team. This position offers a Permanent contract and will be based at Lea Marston Hotel in Sutton Coldfield.
As our Leisure Club Supervisor, you are responsible to ensure at all times a high standard of cleanliness, maintenance and safety. To encourage a friendly and professional atmosphere and ensure that all members and guests are guided and supervised at all times. Main Duties:
* Provide the correct information to identify customer needs
* Carry out general reception duties, including bookings, cash reconciliation and membership sales
* Maintain and develop displays for in-house and external literature
* Maximise sales in order to achieve the budget in all areas
* Encourage staff to develop gym competitions and activities at least every quarter
* Help promote all areas of the hotel
* Organise social events for the Health Club
Quality:
* Assist in the up-keep of the Health Club hygiene standards by carrying out cleaning duties as indicated
* Maintain good customer care by promoting an open and friendly atmosphere
* Always attend shift on time wearing provided uniform, name badge with a tidy appearance
* Assist in monitoring and continual improvement of quality standards within all areas of the Health Club and Spa
* Carry out fitness assessments and gym programs to your qualified standards
* Maintain all gym equipment
* Continuous improvement of service reliability
* Survey customers for feedback
DEVELOPMENT
* Develop, create and maintain effective working relationships
* Gain the trust and support of colleagues and team members
* Attend meetings as and when required
* Be committed to the investors in people standards
* Contribute effectively to the development of all new projects
* Update minimum qualifications when required i.e. Pool Lifeguard and First Aid
* Continual development and improvement of all procedures to ensure efficient and profitable operations
* Recruit and train new staff when required
* Complete quarterly reviews and annual appraisals promptly. Implementing a training plan for each team member
HEALTH AND SAFETY
* Maintain a safe and secure working environment
* Use cleaning material in accordance with COSSH regulations
* Use plant room chemicals in accordance with COSSH and Data Sheets
* Always wear personal protective equipment when handling plant room chemicals
* All accidents and incidents are to be reported promptly and accurately
* Always refer to your emergency plan provided
* Ensure you have a working knowledge of all safety equipment and procedures within the complex
* Contribute to ongoing training within the pool environment
* Assist in daily operation and maintenance of the sauna, steam room, spa including chemical testing and filter cleaning
