Overview
We are looking for an IT-proficient and self-motivated individual to take ownership of both the technical management and digital marketing growth of our eCommerce sales portal and corporate websites. This hybrid role blends website upkeep with proactive marketing responsibilities, offering an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to expand their skills in SEO, lead generation, and AI-driven growth strategies.
Duties
Website Management & Upkeep
* Maintain and optimise existing WordPress/WooCommerce sites
* Perform regular plugin, theme, and core updates with compatibility checks
* Troubleshoot errors, downtime, performance issues, and plugin conflicts
* Liaise with hosting providers (e.g. )
* Oversee security, backups, and uptime monitoring
* Manage DNS/email/website integration and troubleshooting
* Optimise site speed, mobile responsiveness, and overall user experience
New Site Builds & Launches
* Build and configure new WordPress/WooCommerce sites from scratch
* Manage hosting, domains, SSL, caching, and email setups
* Implement site designs
E-commerce Functionality
* Manage WooCommerce products, pricing plugins, discount logic, payment gateways, and shipping integrations
* Upload and optimise product listings, categories, schema, and attributes
* Ensure a seamless, conversion-optimised shopping experience
Digital Marketing & Lead Generation
* Develop and execute digital marketing strategies to generate new leads and drive traffic
* Create and optimise campaigns across channels (Google Ads, social media, email, etc.)
* Monitor, analyse, and report on performance using Google Analytics, Search Console, Hotjar, SEMrush and other tools
* Collaborate with AI to generate and refine marketing copy, landing pages, and campaign ideas
* Maintain and improve SEO performance, keyword targeting, and backlink strategies
* Manage mailing lists, newsletters, and customer engagement campaigns
* Support brand awareness and positioning through digital content strategies
AI Collaboration
* Work closely with AI tools (including ChatGPT) for site optimisation, marketing automation, and content generation
* Experiment with AI to enhance productivity, lead conversion, and customer engagement
Administration & Sales Support
* Provide occasional cover for administrative and sales duties (sales order processing, invoice generation, delivery note processing, customer service calls)
Skills & Experience (Required)
* Solid WordPress/WooCommerce knowledge (or similar CMS/eCommerce platforms)
* Proven experience in SEO, digital marketing, or lead generation campaigns
* Familiarity with Google Ads, SEO tools (Semrush, Ahrefs, etc.), and social media marketing
* Strong understanding of plugins and integrations
* Basic HTML/CSS/PHP skills beneficial for custom tweaks
* Analytical mindset – able to translate data into actionable improvements
* Independent problem-solving and initiative-driven
* Microsoft Office proficiency (Outlook, Excel, etc.)
Skills & Experience (Desirable)
* Familiarity with Elementor, Code Snippets, Advanced Custom Fields, WooCommerce Product Table (desirable but not essential)
* Experience with Sage 200C Professional (desirable but not essential)
