We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Occupational Health Manager to lead and manage the delivery of Occupational Health (OH) services within South Wales Fire and Rescue Service (SWFRS), supporting a workforce of approximately 1,700 employees. This pivotal role ensures the smooth and efficient operation of the OH unit while contributing directly to the organisation’s wider goals of reducing sickness absence and promoting employee wellbeing.
The postholder will act as a vital link between Occupational Health and the wider People Services team, ensuring that absence management processes and wellbeing initiatives align with organisational priorities and legal responsibilities, including those under the Equality Act 2010. Working closely with both the People Services Business Partner and People Services Manager responsible for Wellbeing, the role will also involve a programme of significant upskilling of line managers to foster a culture of health and wellbeing.
The ideal candidate will bring strong administrative and leadership skills, with the ability to engage and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including health and fitness advisers, doctors, nurses, physiotherapists, psychotherapists, counsellors, and administrative staff. They will also be proactive in driving service improvements, capable of managing sensitive situations, and committed to upholding high standards of clinical governance, data security, and CPD compliance.

Bydd deilydd y swydd yn gweithredu fel cyswllt hanfodol rhwng Iechyd Galwedigaethol a'r tîm Gwasanaethau Pobl ehangach, gan sicrhau bydd prosesau rheoli absenoldeb a mentrau lles yn alinio â blaenoriaethau sefydliadol a rhwymedigaethau cyfreithiol, gan gynnwys y rhai hynny sydd o dan Ddeddf Cydraddoldeb 2010. Yn gweithio'n agos â'r Partner Busnes Gwasanaethau Pobl a'r Rheolwr Gwasanaethau Pobl sy'n gyfrifol am Lesiant ill dau, bydd y rôl hefyd yn cynnwys rhaglen o uwchsgilio rheolwyr llinell yn sylweddol i faethu diwylliant o iechyd a chynhwysiant.
Bydd yr ymgeisydd delfrydol yn dod â sgiliau gweinyddol ac arweinyddiaeth gref gydag ef neu hi, gyda'r gallu i ymgysylltu a chydweithredu â thîm amlddisgyblaethol gan gynnwys ymgynghorwyr iechyd a ffitrwydd, meddygon, nyrsys, ffisiotherapydd, seicotherapyddion, cwnselwyr a staff gweinyddol. Hefyd, byddant yn rhagweithiol wrth ysgogi gwelliannau mewn gwasanaethu, gyda'r gallu i reoli sefyllfaoedd sensitif a bod yn ymroddedig i gynnal safonau uchel o lywodraethiant clinigol, diogelwch data a chydymffurfwchiaeth CPD.
