Job Description:
The Wholesale and Tesco Seasonal Demand Planner is responsible for build ing and managing the demand forecast (short term) for the Wholesale channel, and for Tesco Seasonal portfolio. The job holder works closely with Sales, Marketing and Supply Chain to ensure high levels of forecast accuracy, a key requirement for en suring high levels of Customer S ervice, optimised stock levels, and delivery of products on time .
The position analyses promotional performance and historic forecast performance and works with the Sales team to drive initiatives that will enable the business to efficiently deliver customer demand, drive efficiency in the supply chain and optimum on shelf availability whilst minimizing waste .
The Tesco Seasonal Demand Planning leader is responsible for managing the forecast for an account which significantly impact s the UK MWC o verall Bias and SFA metrics. Tesco has high levels of promotional complexity, demand forecast volatility and is a full force growth partner .
What are we looking for?
* This job holder collaborate s with and heavily influence s internal stakeholders and assigned C ustomers to deliver an accurate demand forecast which is then convert ed into an agreed demand plan, into production requirements making sure the product is delivered on time, in full to meet C ustomer orders .
* This role requires advanced planning, analysing and influencing skills
* Experienced in using data to generate insight, storytelling.
* Tech savvy - identifying opportunities for CI and embracing new tools.
What will be your key responsibilities?
* Create an accurate demand forecast using the customers’ demand and supply chain data, historical data, best practice planning methodology, accurate base and promotional forecasts, Sales LE tracking & reporting .
* Ownership of SFA (P-1) and B ias (P-3 and P-1)
* Collaborat e with the Segment Demand Planners and Supply Chain colleagues to ensure the agreed demand plan translates into production requirements and the product is delivered on time, in full to meet customer needs.
* Analyses forecast performance and leverages supply chain-modeling techniques to develop tactical and operational accurate demand forecasts.
* Partner s with sales and the customer to support strategic demand planning and develop and execute solutions that enable efficiency, effectiveness and growth e.g. 30:60:90 meetings .
* Collaborate s with key stakeholders internally to navigate c ustomer challenges and provide solutions as required to maximise on shelf availability.
* Manage s and influence s Tesco to drive business performance and p ro-actively report on key KPI’s ensuring delivery of key customer service targets whilst driving efficiency in the supply chain.
