Procurement Consultant – Strategic Projects (Public & Private Sector)
Location: Remote (UK-wide) with client travel as required
Salary: £40,000 – £65,000 + Bonus + Package
About the Opportunity
I am supporting a leading procurement and commercial consultancy delivering complex programmes across central government and major private-sector clients. Following continued growth, the firm is expanding its consulting team and seeking ambitious Procurement Consultants to help design and deliver strategic sourcing and transformation initiatives across a diverse client base.

The Role
As a Procurement Consultant, you’ll:
* Support and lead elements of end-to-end procurement projects, from strategy development to contract award.
* Deliver category strategies, sourcing events, and commercial assessments in line with client objectives.
* Advise on public procurement regulations (PA23) and best-practice approaches to supplier engagement and evaluation.
* Work collaboratively with clients to build capability, improve governance, and deliver measurable savings.
* Gain exposure to a broad range of sectors – from central government to regulated industries and digital transformation programmes.
About You
We’re looking for future consulting leaders who can combine commercial acumen with stakeholder confidence. You’ll bring one or more of:
* Experience on the Civil Service Fast Stream or within a government department, with a strong grasp of public procurement; or
* Graduate-scheme/equivalent entry role from a major private-sector organisation with solid end-to-end procurement exposure;
* Knowledge of, or interest in, Public Procurement Act 2023 (PA23) and current policy frameworks;
* Strong analytical and stakeholder management skills;
* A desire to build a career in procurement consulting, working across multiple clients and categories;
* Excellent written and verbal communication, with confidence presenting to senior stakeholders.
