Management Accountant - Growing International Business

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Management Accountant to join a fast-paced, forward-thinking organisation with a strong international footprint. This business is undergoing rapid growth through innovation, strategic partnerships, and a commitment to operational excellence.
This role is ideal for a qualified finance professional looking to make an impact in a commercially focused environment with exposure to group-level reporting, investor relations, and business-wide financial management.
About the Role
Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, you'll play a key part in producing accurate and timely financial reporting, ensuring compliance across entities, and driving continuous improvement in financial processes.
Key Responsibilities
Management Accounting & Internal Reporting
1. Prepare monthly journals (e.g. prepayments, accruals, WIP).
2. Produce management accounts and assist with group consolidation.
3. Maintain ERP financial structures (GL codes, departments, cost centres).
4. Administer balance sheet reconciliations and employee scheme transactions.
5. Review credit card and cashbook activity.
6. Deliver ad hoc analysis to support business decisions.
Group & Financial Reporting
7. Maintain the 13-week rolling cash flow forecast.
8. Distribute daily liquidity reports.
9. Support data requests from investors and senior stakeholders.
Credit Control & Accounts Receivable
10. Collaborate with commercial teams to ensure timely payment from customers.
11. Monitor aged debt and escalate risks as needed.
12. Prepare weekly cash receipt forecasts and manage deposit tracking.
Statutory & Compliance
13. Prepare quarterly VAT returns and coordinate annual statutory accounts.
14. Liaise with external auditors and ensure timely submission of audit evidence.
15. Submit reports to relevant national authorities (e.g. Gender Pay Gap, ONS).
Leadership
16. Manage and mentor a part-qualified accounts assistant, supporting development and performance.
What We're Looking For
Essential
17. ACA, ACCA, or equivalent accounting qualification.
18. Excellent time management and organisational skills.
19. Detail-oriented with a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
20. Capable of working independently under pressure and to deadlines.
21. High level of integrity and confidentiality.
22. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
23. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and wider Office tools.
24. Team-oriented and adaptable.
Desirable
25. Trained in a top-tier accountancy firm.
26. Experience with ERP systems (e.g. Epicor).
27. Confident working with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
