Job Description Team Leader - Emergency Response Unit Full time Derby - Raynesway Why Rolls-Royce? This is a great opportunity for an experience Emergency Response Team Leader to join Rolls-Royce. You will be reporting to the Resilience Manager and will be responsible for the management of the Emergency Response Unit (ERU). The Team Leader ERU is responsible for the delivery of a competent and capable response team that is always maintained in accordance with the requirements of the nuclear site licences. What you will be doing: With this exciting opportunity you will get a chance to be involved with the following: Directly support the delivery of technical work and specialist tasks to maintain nuclear safety. Lead, monitor and support people to resolve operational incidents - review and determine incident status, assume responsibility and implement action to support those involved in the incident, debrief following the resolution of an incident. Determine solutions to hazards and risks identified through inspection and investigation - plan inspections and investigations, implement inspections and investigations, respond to findings following inspections and investigations, Present evidence at formal proceedings. Plan and implement activities to meet service delivery needs - Plan and allocate work activities to meet service delivery needs, agree budgets and resources for work activities, Implement and evaluate work plans to achieve objectives, make recommendations for improvements to work activities. Manage the effective use of resources - plan the use of physical resources, obtain physical resources, Ensure the availability of supplies, Monitor the use of physical resources. Manage the performance of teams and individuals to achieve objectives Allocate and delegate work to teams and individuals. Develop teams and individuals to enhance work-based performance - identify the development needs of teams and individuals, Plan the development of teams and individuals. Who we’re looking for: To be successful in this role you will need to meet the following criteria: Comprehensive experience as an operational firefighter would be desirable Experience at Station Officer/Manager (UK Fire & Rescue Service or equivalent) is desirable but not essential. Instructor/trainer with appropriate qualifications & experience to instruct incident command, firefighting, fire safety and rescue programmes. Experience of responding to multi-agency incidents in hazardous environments Appropriate CBRNE/Hazmat experience as an operational commander & respond. NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent. Fire risk assessment (Regulatory Reform Order) knowledge & experience. HSE First Aid at Work. Advanced first responder/trauma technician or equivalent (AED, medical gases, airway management, spinal immobilisation, and casualty extrication) would be preferred but not essential. Please be aware that the priority will be given to employees identified as being at high risk. The professional level and the salary of the position will be dependent on the skills and experience of the successful candidate. Rolls-Royce will support the application for Security Clearance if the individual does not currently already have this in place. Due to the nature of work the Business conducts and the protection of certain assets a person has to be a UK national or in MoD approved cases a Dual National from a non ITAR country.
