We are seeking an individual with practical experience in environmental coordination, assessment, and team management to lead our Environmental Management team in London. Key growth areas include the Water market supporting South East Water, Southern Water, Thames Water, the Energy sector, and Local Authorities.

You will collaborate with technical specialists, lead Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA), coordinate deliverables, work closely with clients, develop new business, and mentor team members.
The ideal candidate will hold a degree in an environmental or related discipline and have comprehensive technical expertise in EIA and Environmental Management. We support ongoing career growth through training, development activities, and mentoring to help you maximize your talents.
Responsibilities:
* Leading the coordination and delivery of environmental projects undertaken by multidisciplinary teams, including EIAs, options appraisals, and environmental management.
* Managing a team of environmental professionals and coordinating with Practice Management to oversee the London Environmental Management team.
* Handling programme and budget responsibilities, ensuring project delivery within financial parameters.
* Promoting high environmental standards within engineering projects, influencing project development, and delivering optimal environmental outcomes.
* Managing client relationships confidently and professionally; leading bid preparations, developing new business areas, and supporting staff development through CPD and mentorship.
Requirements:
* Degree or Master’s in environmental science or related field.
* Chartered status with relevant postgraduate experience, preferably within consultancy.
* Experience with major infrastructure projects.
* Deep knowledge of the EIA process and environmental technical expertise.
* Leadership experience within multidisciplinary teams, with skills in report writing, presentations, and quality review.
