Credit Placement Analyst

A well-established and growing UK commercial finance brokerage is looking to strengthen its Credit Placement team. The business has a strong track record in the market, significant lender relationships, and an ambition to become a true one-stop shop for commercial finance.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys making commercially sound credit decisions, influencing outcomes, and working closely with both sales teams and lenders to improve acceptance rates and deal quality.
The role
Sitting within the credit placement function, you will be responsible for making fast, well-reasoned placement decisions on packaged deals received from the sales team. The focus is on credit assessment, lender selection and negotiation, with administrative support in place to maximise your time on high-value judgement calls.
Key responsibilities
1. Review and assess packaged financial proposals, sense-checking structure, affordability, credit strength and completeness
2. Select the most appropriate lender based on appetite, policy, pricing and likelihood of approval
3. Refine or amend proposals prior to submission to improve approval rates and commercial outcomes
