Overview
Band 6: Specialist Speech & Language Therapist (5 days/1.0 WTE) covering the ICATT North and South teams. Supporting adults with Intellectual Disabilities and/or Autism in Nottinghamshire.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide specialist communication support to adults with intellectual disabilities and neurodevelopmental conditions.
* Conduct assessments and observations to inform person‑centred formulation of needs and care plans.
* Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary team members to ensure a holistic approach to care and recovery.
* Work with an assistant Speech & Language Therapist to deliver services efficiently.
* Adopt the 5 Good Communication Standards and inclusive communication principles in all interactions.
* Maintain accurate records, provide supervision, and engage in CPD opportunities.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Full UK driving licence and vehicle available for business use; reasonable adjustments will be made for disabled individuals in line with the Equality Act 2010.
* Relevant degree and professional registration as a Speech & Language Therapist.
* Experience working with adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities or similar settings.
* Strong communication, assessment, and multidisciplinary collaboration skills.
