Position Summary
As a Merchandiser at Chards Coin and Bullion Dealer, a leading bullion dealer in the UK, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our precious metal and collectable are presented in the most appealing way to maximise sales and enhance customer satisfaction. You will be responsible for planning and executing merchandising strategies, maintaining product, and collaborating with various teams to ensure our product meets our customer's needs. This role also involves managing our online presence to ensure our website reflects our merchandising strategies and provides excellent customer experience.
Responsibilities
* Develop and implement effective merchandising strategies to drive sales and enhance the customer shopping experience.
* Take ownership of product pricing, ensuring all pricing decisions align with the company's pricing strategy and market positioning.
* Use data-driven insights to balance customer value with commercial performance, contributing directly to revenue growth and profitability.
* Calculate and manage stock cover to ensure that current inventory levels are sufficient to meet forecasted sales. This helps in maintaining optimal stock levels and avoiding overstock or stockouts.
* Conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends and competitor activities.
* Assess the success of product launches by analysing sales figures, customer feedback, and umarket penetration.
* Monitor website traffic, social media engagement, and competitor performance to evaluate the effectiveness of the product launches.
Qualifications
* Problem Solving: Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Mathematical Skills: Basic maths skills to accurately calculate intrinsic values and premiums for customer quotations.
* Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Excel and capable of using Power BI for basic data analysis.
* Multitasking: Capable of managing multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
